Trust and Data Commitments
We built this platform to be trusted with your data.
Plain language. No legal hedging. Here is exactly how Squadera handles your operational data, what it never does with it, and why the architecture was built this way from day one.
01: Why this matters to us
Data trust is not a feature.
It is a design decision.
Every serious business we have spoken to has a version of the same experience. They handed operational data to a platform, a consultant, or a vendor. They did not fully understand where it went, who could see it, or how it was being used. Some found out later. That experience is why Squadera is built the way it is.
"When a business hands us its operational data, it is making an act of trust. That trust has to be earned through architecture, not promised in a privacy policy."
Data sovereignty
Built into the platform from the first line of code. Not added later when a client asked for it.
Traceable outputs
Every insight shows the exact data that produced it. No black boxes. No outputs you cannot verify.
Third-party exposure
Raw operational data never leaves your environment. That is not a setting. It is the architecture.
02: Architecture
Your data never leaves your business.
Squadera installs as a containerised application inside your own environment. The analytics engine, the intelligence layer, and all data processing run locally. The only thing that travels outside your systems is aggregated numbers sent for AI narration. Never the underlying data.
Your environment
Your ERP, operational systems, or data exports. On your premises or your cloud infrastructure.
Squadera reads your data locally. Nothing leaves at this stage.
Squadera platform (inside your environment)
Analytics engine, intelligence layer, verified insights. All processing happens here, inside your infrastructure.
Only aggregated numbers travel outward. Not raw data.
AI narration (outbound, aggregated only)
Department totals and summary figures sent for natural language narration. Never raw records, individual costs, or identifiable data.
Concrete example: If Squadera analyses Q3 cost overruns by department, it sends "Operations Q3 cost: $420K, revenue: $890K" for narration. Not the individual transactions, supplier names, or underlying records that produced those figures.
03: Traceability
Every insight shows its working.
Every answer Squadera produces is linked to the exact data that produced it. The query that ran, the rows it returned, the numbers passed to the AI, and what the AI was instructed to say. You can verify any output before acting on it. This is not a setting you turn on. It is how every insight works, for every user, every time.
SUM(cost) AS total_cost,
SUM(revenue) AS total_revenue,
ROUND(total_cost / total_revenue * 100, 1) AS cost_ratio
FROM performance WHERE quarter = 'Q3'
GROUP BY department ORDER BY cost_ratio DESC
Every insight card has a "View source" link. This trace is visible to any user on any insight. Not an admin-only feature.
04: Access control
The right people see the right data.
Squadera has three access roles built in. Sensitive financial data is protected from operational staff by default. Every access decision is logged. No one accesses data they have not been explicitly granted access to, including Squadera.
| Capability | Admin | Analyst | Viewer |
|---|---|---|---|
| View operational performance data | ● Yes | ● Yes | ● Yes |
| View sensitive financial data (costs, margins) | ● Yes | ● Yes | ○ Restricted |
| Ask natural language questions | ● Yes | ● Yes | ● Read only |
| Export data | ● Yes | ● Yes | ○ No |
| View full audit log of all queries | ● Yes | ○ No | ○ No |
| Manage users and roles | ● Yes | ○ No | ○ No |
| Configure data connections | ● Yes | ○ No | ○ No |
Access roles are configured by the Admin of your deployment. Squadera personnel have no access to your data or your system at any time without an explicit, time-limited grant from your Admin.
05: Data commitments
What we do and do not do with your data.
These are not terms of service. They are plain statements of how Squadera works, backed by the product architecture. Every commitment below is verifiable from the technical design of the platform.
We do not store your data on our servers
Squadera runs inside your environment. Your operational data lives in your systems, not ours. We have no server-side copy of your business data at any time.
We do not share your data with anyone
Every deployment is isolated. The intelligence Squadera builds for your business is yours alone. No cross-client data, no aggregated benchmarking, no data shared with partners or third parties without your explicit written consent.
We do not train AI models on your data
Your business data is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model. The AI in Squadera uses your data to answer your questions in that session. Nothing else. Nothing retained.
You can delete all data at any time
Submit a written deletion request to info@squadera.io. Deletion is confirmed in writing within 30 days. When you leave Squadera, your systems stay exactly as they are. There is nothing to migrate and nothing to undo.
Every action is logged and attributable
Every query, every insight, every export, and every user action is logged with a timestamp and user attribution. You can audit everything the platform did, at any time, with no expiry on the log.
No vendor lock-in, ever
Squadera connects to your existing systems in read-only mode. Your systems do not change when you connect. They do not change when you leave. Built on open, modular architecture. You are never trapped.
06: Questions we get asked
The real questions before people sign.
These come from actual conversations with business owners before they committed to Squadera. Plain answers, no hedging.
Only people you explicitly grant access to within your Squadera deployment. The three roles (Admin, Analyst, Viewer) are configured entirely by your Admin. Squadera personnel have zero access to your data at any time without a formal, time-limited access grant from your Admin. That grant is logged and auditable.
Your systems stay exactly as they are. Squadera connects in read-only mode and makes no changes to your existing infrastructure. When you stop, the connection is removed. If you want the local Squadera database deleted, send a written request to info@squadera.io. Deletion is confirmed in writing within 30 days.
No. Every Squadera deployment is completely isolated. There is no shared database, no benchmarking pool, and no cross-client data of any kind. Your data exists inside your environment only. Squadera has no architecture that would allow one client's data to be accessed by another.
Every insight shows the exact data that produced it. Before acting on anything, you can see the query that ran, the data it returned, and the numbers passed to the AI. This is specifically why we built the traceable output architecture: so you can verify a finding before acting on it. Squadera is a decision-support tool. Your judgement before acting is always the right final step. If you find an insight that is wrong, you can flag it directly in the platform. That feedback improves the next output.
Three things prevent hallucination in Squadera. First, a SQL validator checks every generated query against your actual data schema before it executes. If a column or table does not exist, the query is blocked. Second, every numerical output is checked against known dataset bounds before it is presented. Third, every AI narration runs at temperature=0, meaning the model is instructed to produce only factual, grounded output based on the specific numbers it received. The "View source" link on every insight shows exactly what the AI was given and what it was asked to do.
We contact the affected client directly within 24 hours of identifying any issue that touches their data or their deployment. We document what happened, what was affected, and what was done to resolve it. We do not issue a general notice. We call the specific person responsible for the deployment. That is the standard we hold ourselves to and the standard we expect to be held to.
